The Resilience Butte County Proud IPA is here!
After the most destructive and deadly wildfire California has ever seen, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. created a beer that would give 100% of the proceeds to victims of the Camp Fire. The beer they created - The Resilience Butte County Proud India Pale Ale
Sierra Nevada Brewing then asked breweries nationwide to participate in this fundraiser for those in need, and over 1,400 breweries responded. We, at Redwood Curtain Brewing Company, are proud to be one of them.
The Camp Fire was such a catastrophic event that affected communities near and far, and being able to give back to those who have suffered from this devastating crisis is something we are honored to do.
Right before the holidays, Drake Mollberg and Dutch Sullivan brewed our version of the Resilience IPA using Simpson Maris Otter malt, Weyermann Barke Pilsner malt, Gambrinus Munich malt, Simpson Crystal Light malt, Cascade and Centennial hops, and RCBC’s proprietary English yeast strain.
We were really excited that the recipe showcased historic hops that were introduced at the start of the craft beer industry. As a twist, we chose different malts than Sierra Nevada's recipe because they wanted to keep the flavors true to Redwood Curtain Brewing's; which started as a malt forward brewery.
You can now enjoy our version of the Resilience IPA at either of our tasting rooms, Arcata & Myrtletown-Eureka, or take it to go in a growler or crowler!
